Phytostandard Valerian is a dietary supplement based on organic valerian extract (Valeriana officinalis L.).

Each plant can contain up to 250 compounds in its cells. All of these compounds form the plant's totality. The extraction process is a key factor in preserving the integrity of the plant's compounds.
For Valerian extracts, we have selected the parts of the plant richest in compounds: the roots of Valerian (Valeriana officinalis L.) to develop the food supplement Phytostandard Valerian.

How are the extracts of valerian selected for this Phytostandard?

Valerian, also known as "catnip" because of its characteristic smell that attracts cats, is an annual plant that is harvested in September and October. Native to Europe and Asia, acclimatized in the North-East of America, valerian grows preferentially on clayey-siliceous soils. We select valerian grown in France, with 1 to 2 years of growth and from a variety specifically rich in compounds. The roots are mechanically harvested, then cleaned and quickly frozen on site, before being sent to our manufacturing site in Ariège.
The roots are then ground and extracted according to the Phytostandard process, which is recognized for its respect for the integrity of the plant's compounds. The extract of valerian then obtained is without alcohol. It is then freeze-dried, i.e. dehydrated cold to be put in vegetable capsule. The manufacturing process, from Phytostandard® extraction to capsule filling, is carried out in France, which allows traceability of the products from their production to their distribution.
Certified Organic Agriculture, the Phytostandard of valerian guarantees that at least 95% of its agricultural ingredients are ORGANIC.
